Drone planting is much cheaper than the tradional hand planting system.
Scientists have developed new drones that can identify ideal places to grow trees and sow billions of plants every year to fight against Deforestation
Researchers from UK-based company BioCarbon Engineering helped build a drone system that can scan the land, identify ideal places to grow trees, and then fire germinated seeds into the soil.
BioCarbon Engineering, the team who have developed the drone that plants at “10 times the rate of hand planning and at 20 per cent of the cost”. Lauren Fletcher, BioCarbon CEO and former NAS) engineer, said the current design of the drone could carry 150 seeds at a time.
